Social Accountability
Forum Syd is a network of more than 200 Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) provided in Sweden with a goal to reduce poverty, inequality and to stimulate democracy. Forum Syd has gained funding from Sida-Tanzania to implement Social Responsibility Project in Tanzania.This project focuses on the villages and wards of Karagwe District, Ukerewe and Magu. The project started in May 2010 with the aim to support and strengthen the efforts of development partners in capacity building through various training.
Beneficiaries of this project are people living with HIV/AIDS (WAVIVU), The disabled, Women and Youth. In August 2012 PF and CSA they chose two staffs from SYD to attend training on ToT,After finishing the training PF collaborated with FS in implementing what they have learned. In the implementation of the accountability system in the community suggested that monitoring and UNGONET. They also recommended monitoring in Health Sector in the Ukerewe Council.
