Local Government Working Group

The Local Government Working Group (LGWG) meets at the end of every month and its main activities are geared towards supporting and influencing national level policies on Local Government Reform. The reform programme aims to transfer duties and financial resources from the central government to Local Authorities and hence the group focuses on monitoring this decentralisation. It also monitors governance and accountability issues in Local Government. Information about scheduled meetings and LGWG activities can be obtained by emailing intern2@policyforum.or.tz
