Breakfast Debates
On the last Friday of every month, Policy Forum holds the People and Policy Debates. This is an informal discussion over Breakfast aimed at providing a forum to broaden public understanding and debate on a topical policy issue. The debates are held at the British Council Auditorium in Dar es Salaam city centre from 7:30 to 9:30 AM. Several speakers introduce a topic and participants have a chance to debate the issue in small groups before the floor is opened for a plenary discussion. Issues chosen for the breakfast debate are wide-ranging and topical. Speakers are drawn from the public sector, academia, civil society, donor agencies and the private sector, and the talks are open to the public and attended by interested individuals and professionals.
