Policy Forum is incorporated as a Non-Governmental Organisation with registration number NGO/R2/00015. Policy Forum (PF) is a network of over 70 Tanzanian civil society organisations established in 2003 and drawn together by their specific interest in augmenting the voice of ordinary citizens to influence policy processes that help in poverty reduction, equity, and democratisation, with a specific focus on public money accountability.

PF’s strategic direction for 2026 – 2030 focuses on reinforcing governance, aligning decision-making, and advancing equitable development for all communities. Informed by political economy analysis, lessons from previous strategic periods, and stakeholder insights, the framework emphasises coherence, alignment, and connectivity across governance actors and processes to achieve sustainable impact.
