Breakfast Debate: Kikwete's First Two Years: Governance Review 2006/07

The 7:30 debate on Friday, 30th October 2009 titled, "Kikwete's First Two Years: Governance Review 2006/07" will have presentations by Brian Cooksey of TADREG and Dr Semboja Haji Hatibu of the Economic Research Bureau, University of Dar es Salaam. The debate will be held at the British Council in the City Centre, Dar es Salaam  between 0730am and 0930am.

Reforming the Tanzanian Mining Act – Fiscal, Social, Environmental Aspects Workshop for CSOs and media

Revenue Watch Institute (RWI), in collaboration with Policy Forum, is organising a course for CSOs and the media with the aim of providing knowledge about the structure of the mining sector, and key issues related to maximising its contribution to national development in Tanzania. With a focus on revenue generation, socio-environmental rights and obligations and local economic development, the course will also build participants' skills to engage in the mining sector and influence the new mining legislation.
