Policy Forum, in collaboration with the Interfaith Standing Committee on Economic Justice and Integrity of Creation, is organising the Tanzania Alternative Mining conference in Arusha from the 18th to 21st of October, 2011 under the Theme The state of Mining in Tanzania.

This conference will be held concurrently with the Ministry of Energy & Minerals' conference and which is being organised in partnership with AME Trade Limited in Arusha on the 19th - 20th October 2011.

Policy Forum, in collaboration with JUKWAA la KATIBA (CSO constitutional Forum) has published Constitutional Review Guide (Mwongozo wa Katiba kwa Raia) that will help demystify the process of drafting the new constitution for the citizen, the booklet will be launched at Maelezo Auditorium at Posta, You are all warmly welcome

Annual PETS conference aimed at taking stock of and evaluating PETS in Tanzania; sharing experiences on challenges and achievements; creating a national PETS strategy ensuring widest coverage across Tanzania; and embedding PETS in the Social Accountability Monitoring as a specific tool.

The PETS conference to be held in Dodoma from 28^th-29^th June 2010, is organized by Local Government Working Group (LGWG) of Policy Forum.

Policy Forum, Revenue Watch Institute, the African Institute for Energy Governance, the National Advocacy Coalition on Extractives, and the Parliamentary Center are jointly organising a Regional Conference on Africa’s Oil, Gas and Mineral Resources for Development: “The Role of Legislators, Civil Society and Media” from 11 to 13 May 2010 at the White Sands Hotel in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

The Human Rights Conference is being organised to mark the International Human Rights Day. Planned activities will include peaceful demonstrations that will culminate at the Karimjee Hall, followed by traditional dances, a presentation of the human rights situation in Tanzania in 2009, a word from the Guest of Honour Hon. John Tendwa – Registrar of Political Parties and the launching of the 2009 Local Government Elections Monitoring Report. Other activities willalso include the launching of TANLAP by Dr. Judith Odunga and Hon.

The Association of Local Authorities of Tanzania (ALAT) are organising a Working Congress and the commemoration of the 25th Anniversary of their organisation on the 4th and 5th of December. The event will bring together members of ALAT, officials from PMO-RALG, Development Partners and Civil Society Organisations. The event also aims to discuss the experiences and lessons of implementation of policies of decentralization in Tanzania.
