Recognizing the importance of responding  to capacity building needs of activist coalition and networks for the purpose of strengtherning their conceptual clarity and movement building,TGNP has solicited a small fund to support this need.  

TRAINING ON DATA EXPLORATION AND RESAMPLING METHODS IN APPLIED STATISTICS

Beginning and junior researchers may apply for training on data exploration and resampling methods in applied statistics. Participants will learn how to use data descriptions as a tool for discovery (hypothesis seeking). Course content includes:

· Comparing distributions

· Assessing sampling uncertainty from data

· The principle of plausible inference: description as analysis

Postgraduate Diploma in Poverty Analysis 2008/09

The PGD course is a part time one year programme delivered through distance learning coupled with short term intensive training workshops. It places specific emphasis on developing capabilities for research and applied policy analysis on poverty issues. The course is a collaborative programme between ESRF, REPOA and ISS and hosted at ESRF.

2.Regional body with members and/or member organizations covering a (political/administrative) region, specifically with physical and operational presence in the Districts ; organization’s Long term Strategic Plan;

3.Must demonstrate potential advocacy skills in improving SAM within their designated region either by introducing or re-enforcing principles of SAM towards the public and/or government.
