Training on Government-Budget Analysis

Call for Applications For Training on Government - Budget Analysis: REPOA invites members of Civil Society Organisations (CSOs), the media and locally elected leaders such as Councilors to a
training workshop on Government-Budget Analysis.  This training is important to members of the society who play an oversight role in the processes of planning, budgeting, monitoring, and evaluation of government development initiatives at both national and council levels.

The objective of the workshop is to enhance the capacity of participants to analyse and understand the Government Budget
and associated processes that impact on the allocation and utilisation of resources.
Course content includes:
•    The government budget framework – revenue and expenditure
•    Planning and budget processes at the national and council levels and their linkages
•    The execution of government plans and budgets and entry points for CSOs
•    Methods and tools for analyzing and monitoring the Budget
•    Links to MKUKUTA goals and targets
•    Using the Tanzania Governance Noticeboard (TGN) to access and analyse budget data

The training will be held in Dar es Salaam from September 27th – 29th 2010.

Participants will be sponsored for their travel and/or accommodation and there are no course fees.

        his/her role in overseeing development initiatives

     - Detailed curriculum vitae, including photocopies of diploma/degree certificates

Applicants must have at least a diploma in any field of study.

The closing date for applications is September 3rd 2010.
REPOA will notify the successful applicants by September 17th.
