CSO participation in the JAST framework
55 CSO representatives were invited to a two-day Working Session by the Ministry of Finance, from 22nd to 23rd, June 2010 in Kibaha to work out how they can participation in the Joint Assistance Strategy for Tanzania (JAST) framework. At the end of the workshop, the CSO representatives agreed in principle to participate though they felt more time was required to reflect on the structure, the criteria and ToRs for engagement as well as the division of labour. In this regard, the meeting formed a Task Force to revisit the structure for participation and engagement as well as to develop criteria and terms of reference for CSO representation and do a quick mapping of who is currently representing CSOs. Thereafter, the proposals made were required to be presented at a stakeholder meeting in the first two weeks of July 2010.
