The Human Rights Conference is being organised to mark the International Human Rights Day. Planned activities will include peaceful demonstrations that will culminate at the Karimjee Hall, followed by traditional dances, a presentation of the human rights situation in Tanzania in 2009, a word from the Guest of Honour Hon. John Tendwa – Registrar of Political Parties and the launching of the 2009 Local Government Elections Monitoring Report. Other activities willalso include the launching of TANLAP by Dr. Judith Odunga and Hon. John Tendwa and a presentation on the prospects for the 2010 Elections by Prof. Ruth Meena
