Curriculum development workshop for a capacity development initiative on holding local government accountable

Forum Syd and MS-TCDC have initiated the first phase of a capacity building project for holding local governments accountable. The one and a half year project will work to enhance participation, transparency and accountability at local level and to increase the ability of civil society to carry out its watchdog function ensuring local government accountability, as well as to lobby and advocate locally and nationally in order to hold the state accountable, in order to improve the livelihoods of poor people in Tanzania.

One important project component is to develop a training course as a key capacity building intervention.
