he course on gender and micro economics, policy, planning and budgeting is designed to equip participants with basic conceptual clarity on the links between gender and the economy, as well as develop skills for a gender and class analysis of the micro economic policy frameworks; and the budgeting process and management.
The 7:30 debate on Friday, 30th October 2009 titled, "Kikwete's First Two Years: Governance Review 2006/07" will have presentations by Brian Cooksey of TADREG and Dr Semboja Haji Hatibu of the Economic Research Bureau, University of Dar es Salaam. The debate will be held at the British Council in the City Centre, Dar es Salaam between 0730am and 0930am.

This important event, in the days leading up to UN FCCC COP 15, will be aimed at profiling and raising awareness on the human impact of climate change in Tanzania.
Particular focus will be given to the experiences of small farmers, pastoralist communities, and others that depend on natural resources for their livelihoods.
