Policy Forum, in collaboration with the Tax Justice Network – for Africa (TJN-A) is organising a regional Tax Justice seminar to be held at the Kunduchu Beach Hotel in Dar es Salaam from May 4-6, 2009. The seminar will draw in participants from Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda. For a long time, taxation has been neglected as a development issue. While Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) have put efforts in budget advocacy campaigns looking at governments expenditures, little attention has been accorded to how governments generate revenue.
